  • What is 4DX?
  • Customer safety is of the utmost importance to Cineworld, therefore there are some guidelines we wish customers to follow. The 4DX experience is not suitable for everyone, so please ensure you read the 4DX information located below before you book your ticket.


    We have signage and an onscreen ident before every 4DX screening to ensure it is a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.


    Please refer to the following 4DX safety guidelines if you need any further information:


    4DX PRESENTATIONS ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR:

    1. Persons who suffer from high blood pressure, heart conditions, back or neck conditions, epilepsy, or any type of serious medical condition.
    2. Elderly, disabled or blind persons.
    3. Pregnant women.
    4. Persons who are prone to motion sickness or persons who are physically or mentally sensitive.
    5. Intoxicated persons.
    6. Children under 4 years of age (children between the ages of 4 and 7 years must be accompanied by a supervising adult.)
    7. Persons under 3’ 4” (102 cm) tall.
    8. People weighing over 265 lbs (120 kg).
    9. Assistance dogs for health and safety reasons.


    SAFETY WARNING:

    1. The 4DX enabled seats may be harmful to women who are pregnant, persons with high blood pressure, heart conditions, the elderly, disabled persons, persons with back, head or neck conditions or injuries, epilepsy, those with other pre-existing medical conditions, or those with a weak or nervous disposition. The 4DX enabled seats should not be used by such persons unless they have first obtained their doctor’s approval to do so.
    2. The 4DX enabled seats may cause loss of balance, headache or dizziness and, in exceptional circumstances, epilepsy-like symptoms.
    3. The 4DX enabled seats may not be used by children under 4 years of age. Sitting on laps is not allowed. Children aged between 4 and 7 may use 4DX enabled seats with adult supervision. Booster seats must not be used on the 4DX enabled seats.


    SAFETY GUIDELINES:

    1. You must at all times remain in your seat during the performance unless leaving the auditorium. If you experience any discomfort or need assistance immediately, flag or call an usher/ staff member present in the auditorium.
    2. You must not obstruct the aisles or space between the seats with personal belongings or other items. You must not put your arms or legs in-between the seats.
    3. Do not bring valuables into the cinema. Adequately secure and protect your property.
    4. Do not stand on footrests and be careful not to trip or fall over footrests when getting on or off the 4DX motion chairs.
    5. Hot drinks are not allowed in the 4DX auditorium. Keep cold drinks and alcohol sealed, with a lid on, and drink only during non-intensive motion scenes.
    6. Any person who is believed to be intoxicated may be refused entry into the 4DX auditorium or may be requested to leave the 4DX auditorium immediately without any entitlement to a refund.
    7. Do not wear, or alternatively protect, delicate clothing as it could be damaged by 4DX’s effects.
